2010 could
see an increase in hospitality and catering jobs
Recent reports suggest
that
restaurant jobs in the
UK and especially in London could be set for a boost
this year, as restaurant managers claim to be planning
an increase in staff levels.
Business Link's
'Restaurant Barometer' suggests that confidence in the
catering and hospitality industry is currently high, and
as a result, 89% of restaurant owners plan to increase
their workforce, while 57% expect an increase in
takings.
Ashley de Safrin, from the hospitality
sector at Business Link in London, said:
"Despite a slow January, prospects are
looking up for the restaurant sector. 2010 should give
rise to increasing trade through more targeted marketing
and innovation by restaurant owners."
According to Business Link's survey
results, 83% of respondents plan to eat out in
restaurants the same amount or more in 2010. |
